Did my masters in Microbiology and I worked as a CSIR-Senior Research Fellow at CSIR-IMMT to complete my PhD in the area of applied environmental microbiology. Thereafter I had the opportunity to join CSIR-IMMT as a scientist in and have been working in various government sponsored and network projects as a member and a leader.

I worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Utah, USA in the area of Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal during My current research area includes development of sustainable processes for biological treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater.
